REMINDER: 90% of those folks who stand on the entrances to freeways begging for money are FRAUDS. They are dropped off and picked up by their handlers. It's a job. It's big business. They are paid to be there. Or they are addicts looking for a fix. Very few are temporarily "homeless." They are playing you for SUCKERS.
Don't believe me? Park your car and watch one for hours. I did. They will be picked up at the end of "their shift" and a replacement will take their spot. The truth will set you free.
If you really want to help them, hand them a bag of burgers or a number for a employment service. Stop giving them money. You are not helping, just enabling. A friend's husband stopped once and offered a beggar a job. He replied, laughingly: "No thanks. I make more money doing this."
