DENMARK DISAGREES with Bernie Sanders. Nordic countries are NOT socialist countries:

“Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy. Denmark is not socialist. In socialism, the government controls the means of production. Denmark is a free market economy just like the US."

The Nordic countries are not socialist. In the Nordic countries, the principle of private ownership of property and business is respected, and governments do not dictate to citizens or businesses how to spend their money. There are no minimum wage laws in Scandinavia. However, they do have expensive social welfare safety nets which cause high taxes and high unemployment.

In contrast, the left-wing socialists in America want to outlaw private property and dictate how private corporations arrange their own finances and deploy their own assets. They want socialism comparable to what Venezuela has today or what the Eastern Bloc had 30 to 70 years ago:

Ocasio-Cortez’s Socialist New Deal calls for GOVERNMENT CONTROL over nearly every sector of the U.S. economy: healthcare, jobs, building trades, income, technology, food, transportation, college education, energy and housing. A recipe for disaster.

Yet, Democrats like Amy Klobuchar say she supports the Green New Deal but is a capitalist. She's talking out of both sides of her mouth: “I am a Democrat and not a socialist. I believe in capitalism.”
