Did you know that, in America, a Muslim woman is killed by her family every other week? A 2015 study commissioned by the Department of Justice (DOJ) revealed that at least one Muslim woman is "honor-killed" every other week in America due to her leaving Islam, dishonoring the faith or becoming "too westernized."
The authorities believe the violence against women is actually much higher. There are four types of honor violence against women: forced marriage, honor-based domestic violence, honor killing and female genital mutilation (FGM).
Tell me. How can Muslim women in America practice and honor the AMERICAN CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT of all people to practice RELIGIOUS FREEDOM if they are NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE the Islamic faith? Secondly, how can feminists who proclaim to advocate for women's rights avert their eyes to this atrocity? Thoughts?
