The biggest threat to Israel as many believe is not actually Iran (Iran is deeply hated by other Muslim nations, for they belong to the minority Shi'a and hence is unable to become the leader of the Sunni dominated Islamic world), whereas, Turkey is the successor state of the Ottoman empire, which was the Islamic Caliphate for 600 years. Jerusalem was under their rule for 400 years, from 1517-1917, and it was only with the defeat and collapse of the Ottoman empire that Israel was able to be reborn. Jerusalem is one of the oldest cities of the world. During the Israelite period, significant construction activity in Jerusalem began in the 9th century BCE. 1500 years before Muhammed was even born in 626 AD. The claim that Palestinian Muslims have a right to Jerusalem is fake news.
Iran is a threat that must be contained due to their hatred for America and their vow to wipe Israel off the face of the earth... but the #1 threat remains Turkey. As of now, the #1 threat to Israel is a military resurgent Turkey which is soon going to be a nuclear power. A nuclear Turkey is a dangerous Turkey, which could be far worse than Iran and ISIS. ISIS has no airforce or nukes, whereas Turkey is the second most powerful member of NATO and a former empire.
And now, Turkey & Iran have become allies in their war against Syria & Iraq (two former Ottoman ruled states). With the decline of Wahhabi/Salafi Saudi Arabia the Islamic world will be united by Sufism. Erdogan is a Sufi and Sufism is closer to Shi'a Islam. Also, the elites of Iran, the Ayatollah, is of Azeri descent, an ethnic Turkic group and not Persian. It means the top elites of Turkey & Iran are Tukic cousins and the Turkish language, which less than a hundreds years back, was written in the Persian script.
Erdogan recently said the Turkish language (which is currently used in the Latin script) needs to go back to its "Persian roots". Every time Iran escapes the U.S. sanctions, they (Iranians) get help financially via Turkish banks. What is that all about? It means that Turkey & Iran are allies and both nations have a mutual dislike towards Israel. They both have so much to gain and nothing to lose. When there was a coup in Turkey two years back (when Erdogan faked an overthrow of his own Government so he could round up 80,000 political opponents, teachers, military and academia who opposed his Caliphate and jail or execute them), Iran happened to be the first country to congratulate Turkey, which means they "wanted" Erdogan to remain in power.
Now recently, Erdogan said no matter what the U.S. says, Turkey will remain "committed" to Iran and will continue to trade with them and buy weapons from Russia. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani agreed to maintain the cooperation between Turkey, Iran and Russia for a political solution to the conflict in Syria. In other words, an Iranian/Turkey airbase in Syria is at the heart of a war with Israel and an EU army of migrants, coupled with a united Caliphate, will surround Israel and wipe her off the face of the earth. That's Erdogan's plan. Obama views Erdogan as a mentor.
Iran and Turkey's alliance was aided by President Obama. He sent pallets of cash and removed Iran's sanctions. Why? President Obama was raised by a Communist mother and grandmother and a Shia Muslim father and stepfather. His allegiances do not lie with America or Israel. They lie with the Muslim world. Also, since Hillary Clinton and her cronies killed Gaddafi and opened up mass migration from Africa, Turkey stands at the crossroads. Many people don't know that in 2010, Gaddafi told the EU they should pay Libya at least €5bn a year to stop irregular African immigration and avoid a "Muslim Europe". Gaddafi mostly contained the flow of irregular migration - stopping hundreds of thousands. Then, in 2011, Hillary and her cronies killed him for his gold, oil and petrodollar threats. The floodgates opened to Europe. Then Erdogan, in 2016, agreed to take Muslim migrants feverishly deported from Europe. For a price. How he is using his mass Islamic civilian "army" as a threat. Now, however, it's too late. Europe is doomed. History will repeat itself.
Neo-Ottoman Sultan Erdogan declared that Turkey will rebuild its economy on the "German model" and become a world power in five years, just in time to revive the wicked Ottoman Empire. Remember, how Turkey is conspiring to destroy Israel. Turkey's rise to power is akin to the rise of Nazi Germany.
Finally, Communist China's dreams of military and world financial dominance by 2050 rely on Iran as a geopolitical asset. That means China/North Korea/Russia/Iran/Turkey/Syria against the world as we know it. President Trump is maneuvering this very difficult situation that threatens our very existence - which has been in the works since the 1960's. He even recently tweeted that Russia should Stop their alliance with this cabal and America will help them prosper on their own. Pray for him.
